Bill Huizenga has been handling the representation of MI-02 in Washington with class and integrity.

I tune in to Bill’s weekly townhalls, (which I encourage you, the reader, to do as well), and hear Bill effectively listen and represent the frustrations and concerns of the masses who call in. I hear small business owners who are laying off employees, cosmetologists who are struggling to make ends meet, and greenhouse workers who are struggling to pay their mortgage.

Many of my family members, friends, and loved ones are included in the many who are out of work and growing restless at the Draconian orders put forward by our governor. These restrictions are encouraged even louder on TV, on Twitter, and by many in the halls of Congress — creating a seemingly deafening echo chamber of damaging and life-changing orders. However, it’s refreshing to hear Bill do what he was put in office to do — voice the concerns of the people of West Michigan in Washington.

I’m put at ease knowing that my Congressman, a small business owner in Michigan, is defending the small business owners and workers in Congress.

But actions speak louder than words, and perhaps the most profound example of Bill’s defense of the American worker is his HEROES Act, which was introduced to the House in April. This Act, if passed, would effectively treat frontline healthcare workers much the same as we treat our frontline troops – by providing them with federal income tax holiday during their time of service.

I’m thankful to be represented by Bill Huizenga; his actions and words are speaking volumes about his integrity and in this uncertain time. His commitment to the effective representation of MI-02’s constituent body is to be applauded!
