The following is a letter to the editor.

To the honorable Gretchen Whitmer, governor of Michigan:

We are all in agreement that the health and welfare of our residents should be, and is, our first priority.

My concern is the draconian laws and restrictions that you have imposed on the residents of our state.

I am a 93-year-old veteran who served during the World War II era.

Like myself, there are many senior residents who have been unable to receive the treatment so urgently needed. It is imperative that restrictions on non-invasive surgery and treatments be revoked immediately.

The delay in treatments has resulted in irreversible physical damage to many seniors urgently in need of treatment.

The COVID virus has claimed many lives. Your actions have contributed to unnecessary suffering and stress to those in need of immediate relief.
