So, let me get this straight. President Trump thinks we should start testing disinfectant injections and UV light tests on the inside of people to cure COVID-19. Any person able to read a warning label can tell you the outcome of the injection experiment, and any person who swallowed a spoonful of soup that was too hot will know what will happen with the UV light test.

I have a better idea. Mr. President, instead of trying to find a half-baked cure for a pandemic disease which you have absolutely no qualifications trying to cure, why don't you try and solve some of the problems this disease has uncovered and caused. Dairy farmers are discarding millions of gallons of milk daily, and crops are rotting in the fields as I write this. Tens of thousands of people are waiting in food bank lines. If you really want to be the self-proclaimed great leader, develop a plan to get this food to the people who need it.

Our medical infrastructure is crumbling all across America. Hospitals are laying off medical personnel at a time these great people are needed the most. Develop a plan to keep these institutions performing at full capacity. This virus is not going to just go away — that has been already proven.

Lastly, I would like to see the president leave the handling of the coronavirus press briefings to the medical and scientific experts to inform the American people. They are currently walking on eggshells for fear of saying something that offends Trump’s fragile ego. Let them do their jobs, it will make him a better manager, enabling him to take that foot out of his mouth and hopefully take the necessary leadership steps to that greatness he so desires.
