I have a question that has puzzled me for weeks now. I do not hear it asked or answered by the media or at the daily Trump news conference. The question is this: If the United States has approximately 5 percent of the world’s population, why do we have almost 25 percent of the world’s COVID-19 deaths?

Is this a statistical anomaly? Is it because the U.S. is more honest and transparent? Is it because we did not follow the World Health Organization’s warning and take this seriously? Is it because our healthcare system is bad? Is it because of poor and dishonest leadership in the White House?

I realize this is a complex question and the answers are not clear right now. However, every day we clearly see the number of global deaths and U.S. deaths, but we fail to comprehend its significance in relationship to the U.S. population. Please help me understand what the U.S. did to create this statistic. How did we wind up with 25 percent of the world’s coronavirus deaths with only 5 percent of the world’s population?

P.S. I would like to hear your answers.
