Bush’s qualities make America great
To the editor,
As I watched the memorial service for President George H.W. Bush at the National Cathedral I was again reminded of the strength of his character, his love and devotion to family, friends and country, his steady hand in foreign affairs, and his resolve to do what was best for his fellow citizens. He was, by any measure, a remarkable man, resolute in the face of adversity and always optimistic in everything he did. He lived life to the fullest. His 73-year marriage to Barbara was a love story for the ages. We should all be guided by the commitment they made to each other and their family!
We don’t need to make America great again. America has always been great, is great today and always will be. What we need is leadership at all levels of our country … local, state and national, that embrace and embody the characteristics so evident in George Herbert Walker Bush. That’s how we continue to be a great country!
Rest in Peace, Bush 41.
