Nieman Rd. between Trost and Eggert Rds. will be closed to through traffic for replacement of a culvert

RAISINVILLE TOWNSHIP -- Starting Monday, Nieman Rd. between Trost and Eggert Rds. will be closed to through traffic for replacement of a culvert over the Dundee and Raisinville Drain by the Monroe County Drain Commissioner’s office.

The closure should take one week to complete, weather permitting, said Brian J. Wilhelm, an engineer for the Monroe County Road Commission.

Local residents north of the culvert will be able to access their homes from the Eggert intersection, Wilhelm said. Due to the short duration of the closure and the rural area, no detour will be designated, he said.
