The Lenawee County recycling center on Race Street in Adrian will re-open Tuesday, May 12.

There will be new hours of operation, and a maintenance person will be on hand to ensure social distancing is being observed and compactors are not jammed, a news release from the Lenawee County Solid Waste Department said. Hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. It will be closed on weekends and holidays through May 31. At that time count staff will re-evaluate the recycling center’s operation and determine how to proceed.

As a high volume of traffic is expected with the re-opening, residents are asked to be patient and wait their turn.

Questions should be directed to the solid waste department at 517-264-4511.
