We are asking readers to submit voice recordings for their answers to the prompt: "After the pandemic is over, I want to..."

The Monroe News is adapting the traditional “man on the street” Q& A feature to our podcast program.

The theme is “after the pandemic” and we are asking readers to submit voice recordings for their answers. We will compile as many replies as possible into an audio piece that will be available via podcast subscription and posted on our website.

For this initial effort, we have four questions. State the question and then your answer when responding.

• My name is:

• I live in:

• After the pandemic is over I want to:

• Because:

Here’s how to participate by mobile device: Make the recording via “voice memo” feature on your iPhone or a third-party app for Android devices that can make a digital voice recording. For best audio quality, hold the phone about four inches from your face or use a microphone such as the mic that is included in some headphone sets. After the file is saved, email it with your name and phone number to pwethington@monroenews.com.

Here’s how to participate by phone: Call 734-240-5745, which is the office phone for Monroe News reporter Paula Wethington. Leave a voice message following that script. We will be able to get a digital recording from the voice mail.

We would like all responses for this podcast by noon Monday. (Update - we'll take them until noon Tuesday).
