HOLLAND TWP. — An 84-year-old Holland man was transported to Holland Hospital following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.


The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded at 5:36 p.m. May 6 to the intersection of Butternut Drive and James Street.


The 84-year-old Holland man was leaving a private drive and entering Butternut Drive. The driver did not see a second vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old male from South Beloit, Illinois, traveling southbound on Butternut, resulting in the crash.


The Holland driver was pinned in his vehicle and required extrication by the Holland Fire Department. He was transported to Holland Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.


The at-fault driver was also cited for failure to yield the right of way.


The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
