TEMPERANCE - The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Council 8902, Knights of Columbus, will continue with its “ Fill the Crib” campaign this May, but in a different format as it is not able to set up a drop-off donation spot at church.

This is a donation drive on behalf of Heartbeat of Monroe and is usually represented with a crib or playpen in the church’s narthex.

Those who would like to contribute to the cause can send financial donations with the checks written to K of C 8902 and the memo line marked “Heartbeat of Monroe.” The donations should be mailed to Phil Wesley – Financial Secretary, 1831 Pine Valley, Temperance MI 48182.

Those who want to donate items for the drive can place them near the bench at the parish office door, Door C, at the church, 8330 Lewis Ave.

Requested items include newborn clothing (new and unused), baby formula, baby bottles, bathing supplies, baby wipes and similar supplies. Diapers in size 3, 4 and 5; a pack and play; car seats for toddlers also are frequently requested items. All funds and all materials donated will be sent to Heartbeat at the end of May.
