The following announcements are in addition to those previously posted by The Monroe News:

Holiday Camp: Monroe County's Holiday Camp, which provides summer day camp for youths and adults with disabilities, will not run this summer. The Monroe County Holiday Camp board said it made that decision after discussions with Monroe County Intermediate School District administration and others who are involved with that effort. "It saddens us deeply, but we will have to cancel all sessions of Holiday Camp for this summer. Our number one priority has and always will be the health and safety of all our campers, staff, volunteers, vistors, and lunch providers," their message said. "Thank you for your understanding and we will see you all back at Holiday Camp in 2021!"

Monroe Parks and Recreation: The City of Monroe Parks and Recreation has announced all scheduled programs through Aug. 30 are cancelled, following up on a resolution passed by Monroe City Council this week. All paid registrations for programs within that time frame will be refunded by mail. "We hope to come back together next year to pick up where we left off," the announcement said.

If you have an event to announce or cancellation to report, please send it to The Monroe News by email at events@monroenews.com or by mail to The Monroe News, 20 W. First St., Monroe MI 48161.
