Bedford Community Education: The Bedford Community Education office remains closed through at least May 15. Registrations will not be taken for summer camps including Safety Town "until we are given the okay to proceed," officials said.

United Way Health Check: The United Way of Monroe/ Lenawee Counties has announced the cancellation of all the Spring Health Checks that it had planned in partnership with ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Family Medical Center, and the Monroe County Health Department. The plan at this time is to host the fall Health Check events, which are Oct. 15 in Monroe, Oct. 22 in Adrian and Nov. 5 in Carleton.

“After 30 plus years of doing Health Checks this is a first for the United Way,” said Connie Carroll, agency executive director. “United Way believes it is for the health and safety of the entire community that we stay home and stay safe a during this unique time in history.”
