Power Breakfast/Networking set for Jan. 25
The Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce will hold its Power Breakfast starting at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 25.
The event is meant to encourage networking and will feature breakfast and structured networking, open networking and games, power coaching sessions and other activities. Zoup! to celebrate national soup month
With January being national soup month, Zoup! is doing a month-long drive to fight childhood hunger. As part of the program, guests of the company who donate $2 or more to No Kid Hungry, either online or in store, will receive a coupon for a free eight ounce side of soup.
The company hopes to raise $100,000 for No Kid Hungry and as of Tuesday, January 9, the company has raised close to $30,000. Zoup! has one location in the Holland area and it is located at 3435 W Shore Dr.
Employer Resource Fair coming to Hudsonville
The Hudsonville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their Employer Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on January 26 at Terra Square.
The event is $15 per person and the event is aimed at connecting employers with agencies that can help with finding, training and retaining talent.

Wendy's of Michigan raises $130,000
Meritage Hospitality Group's Wendy's of Michigan has completed their Change a Child's Life campaign and raised $130,000 for Helen DeVos Children's Hospital and a number of other local children's charities.
The campaign took place from November 13 to December 31 and was held at 50 west and northern Michigan locations.
The Change a Child's Life campaign started over 20 years ago and has raised $2.5 million for community organizations in West Michigan.
LG Chem to hold career fair
In order to meet increased demand, LG Chem will hold another career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30.
The company will be hiring for a number of different positions and will be conducting interviews with some on-site offers.

New bank coming to Ottawa County
Best Financial Credit Union will open a new branch in Spring Lake Village on January 16 with a grand opening event slated to take place at 3 p.m. on Jan. 26.
The new bank will be in a 2,500-square-foot building and it will employ seven full-time and two part-time employees and will offer a variety of financial services including checking, savings, loans and retirement.
