HOLLAND — Two new websites were created to make it easier for customers to shop online and order take-out from downtown Holland businesses while COVID-19 restrictions are in place.
The websites, shopdowntownholland.com and dinedowntownholland.com, launched Wednesday.
“While our downtown Holland businesses are not open in the traditional sense, they are still eager and excited to serve their customers,” said Kara de Alvare, downtown Holland marketing coordinator. “A lot has changed due to COVID-19, but our merchants remain as committed as ever to providing customers with the unique merchandise options and excellent customer service that downtown Holland is known for.”
On the “shop downtown Holland” website, customers can decide which category of merchandise they are shopping for, select a particular retailer and then be immediately linked to that retailer’s online store or Facebook page for information on placing an order for curbside pick-up, shipping or local delivery.
The “dine downtown Holland” website allows customers to see which downtown Holland cafes and restaurants are currently open for takeout services, with direct links to information for placing takeout orders online or over the phone.
Most downtown retailers offer online shopping on their store website or through social media, with either delivery or curbside pickup options.
Restaurants have only been open for carryout and delivery since March 16. Some offer curbside pickup, while others require customers to come into the restaurant to pick up food.
