Police are looking for two suspects who allegedly used a handgun in forcing a couple to drive to multiple ATM's to attempt to withdraw money.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was at an ATM at the AAC Credit Union at 12390 Riley St. in Holland Township at about 2:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and was approached by a man with a handgun.
The suspect ordered the woman, who had exited her vehicle to check her balance, back into her vehicle, when a second suspect also got inside.
The two ordered the woman and her husband to drive to at least two other ATMs in an effort to withdraw money.
On their way to a third location, police say the suspect grabbed the wheel of the car and caused a crash at Quincy Street near 112th Avenue. Following the crash, the suspects fled on foot.
One of the suspects is described as a white or hispanic male.
